There are some moldings available in the markets, including quarter round molding and shoe molding. What makes quarter round and shoe moldings different? Both of them will be applied if a homeowner finds out gaps between the flooring and the baseboard. Quarter round and shoe moldings look similar, but they’re different. Why did those stores decide not to cut their moldings? Since those moldings are designed to cover walls that usually are long, the moldings are left in their original size. Even though it is easy to join some short moldings in order to cover a long wall, it is better to install one long quarter round molding in one long wall.
