Neil Quigley

Hi, I'm Neil Quigley you can catch me weekdays between 10am and 2pm and Saturday afternoons for the music and sport show between 1pm-6pm.

Neil Quigley

I enjoy keeping fit and can often be seen sweating and looking out of breath at the local gym. Or having a few drinks in various pubs around the area.

I've had the honour of playing football at Huish Park in the Yeovil Town Staff versus Media Game a few seasons ago and still maintain I was not offside and that my goal should have stood. Come on the Glovers!!

The list of famous people I have met includes Kerry Katona, Tony Hadley, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy, Jimmy Paige, Sir Jimmy Saville (who was wearing a gold tracksuit), Bob Holness, Sir Steve Redgrave,Hazel O'Connor, Jim Diamond, Nobby Stiles, Alan Titchmarsh, Kate Ford, Richard Hammond, Katie Price, Des Lynam, Chico and the bloke who used to play the policeman in Allo Allo!!!

What's your favourite song ever? That’s hard cannot name just one. Can I give an albums worth??

What are the things in life that you like? Music, football and socialising!!

Do you have any pet hates? Yes pets

What's your favourite meal? Sausages mash and beans.

What's your number one tipple? Lager

If you won the lottery, what would you spend the cash on? Me!

Licensing officers have slapped fifty pound fines on two Yeovil taxi drivers who were caught smoking in their vehicles - even although they were not carrying passengers at the time.   Taxi drivers are not allowed to smoke in their cars because it is deemed that this is their workplace. Should the smoking ban be extended to include all cars vans and lorries?

Neil Quigley and Adam Fisher resting between matches

An Ivel fm team led by Neil Quigley and including David Gale, Darren from the Travel Bike and Andy Holmes took part in a Charity Football Competition at Bishops Caundle Recreation Ground to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance on Sunday 11th May. It was a very warm day which coupled with the fact that most of the Ivel team had not played a match for a least a year made it tough.   They lost 4-2 against Bishops Caundle Colts (despite a wonder goal from Neil Quigley and a close range finish from Dan Makepiece), who then went on to beat Team Gryphon in the final to win the Tournament.     The Ivel fm team finished third after winning the play off game against another radio station 3 – 1 on Penalties after a 1-1 draw. Neil Quigley and Andy Holmes were amongst the penalty scorers in the sudden death shoot out.
