I'm here on Sunday mornings from 8 to 12.

Phil Clements

I was born and bred in Yeovil and proud of it!

My careers officer told me to look for a proper job after I put down a career of "disc jockey". I did this but kept the dream alive with mobile discos and hospital radio. Since 1997 I have worked part time on smaller radio stations. Now you can join me on Ivel fm on Sunday mornings from 8 to 12.

What's your favourite song ever? Elouis - Barry Ryan

What are the things in life that you like? A smooth running day then everything is a pleasure

Do you have any pet hates? Traffic and wind (the weather type!)

What's your favourite meal? Shepherd's pie

If you won the lottery, what would you spend the cash on? Fast cars, women and expensive wine!

What's your motto for life? Just get on with it!

What's your proudest achievement so far? Apart from becoming a father... working at Ivel fm

Licensing officers have slapped fifty pound fines on two Yeovil taxi drivers who were caught smoking in their vehicles - even although they were not carrying passengers at the time.   Taxi drivers are not allowed to smoke in their cars because it is deemed that this is their workplace. Should the smoking ban be extended to include all cars vans and lorries?

Neil Quigley and Adam Fisher resting between matches

An Ivel fm team led by Neil Quigley and including David Gale, Darren from the Travel Bike and Andy Holmes took part in a Charity Football Competition at Bishops Caundle Recreation Ground to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance on Sunday 11th May. It was a very warm day which coupled with the fact that most of the Ivel team had not played a match for a least a year made it tough.   They lost 4-2 against Bishops Caundle Colts (despite a wonder goal from Neil Quigley and a close range finish from Dan Makepiece), who then went on to beat Team Gryphon in the final to win the Tournament.     The Ivel fm team finished third after winning the play off game against another radio station 3 – 1 on Penalties after a 1-1 draw. Neil Quigley and Andy Holmes were amongst the penalty scorers in the sudden death shoot out.
